Review on The Future of The
Global Muslim Population

The global muslim population is expected to
increase by about 35% in the next 20 years, rising from 1.6 million in 2010 to
2.2 billion by 2030. Besides, the muslim population is forecast to grow at
about twice the rate of the non-muslim population over the next two decades-an
average annual growth rate of 1.5% for muslims, compared with 0.7% for
non-muslim. There are several reasons why muslim population are predicting to
grow increasingly:[1]
1.
Changes in the political climate in the United
States or European nations, for example, could dramatically affect the patterns
of muslim migration. In 2010, the number of muslims is about 2.6 million, it
can be more than doubling over the next two decades, 6.2 million in 2030. It
becauses of immigration and higher than average fertility among muslims.
2.
Muslim populations tend to have higher
fertility rates (more children per woman) than non-muslim populations.
3.
Improved health and economic
conditions in muslim-majority countries have led to greater than average
declines in infant and child mortality rates, and life expectancy is rising
even faster in muslim-majority countries than in other less-developed
countries.
In addition, according to Mohamed Ghounem & Abdur Rahman (1998), many woman convert to Islam. From the poll in the (US), 100,000 people per year in America alone, are converting to Islam. For every 1 male convert to Islam, 4 females convert to Islam. The reasons why many women convert to Islam can be seen by the comparison between the content of Bible and Qur’an in the aspect of woman’s life as the following:
1. The Bible convicts women as the original
Sinners, (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree). The
Qur’an clarifies it was Adam, not Eve .

2. The Bible says “The Birth of a Daughter is a
loss” . The Qur’an says both are an equal blessing

3. The Bible Forbids women from speaking in church . The Qur’an says women can argue with the Prophet <58:1>.

4. In the Bible, divorced women are labeled as
an adulteress, while men are not, . The Qur’an does not
have Biblical double standards .

5.In the Bible, widows and
sisters do not inherit any poverty or wealth, only men do . The Qur’an abolished this male greediness . And
God protects all.

6. The Bible allows multiple wives . In the Qur’an God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the wife’s permission) the right to choose who to mary.

7. Women were given rights to vote less than a 100 years ago in the (US), while the Qur’an (42:38) gave women voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.

From the several comparison above,
women in Islam get special position, more appreciations given to them. In
addition, according to Qur’an (3:19), Islam is a true religion, and it brings
more blessings for all, either for women or men, children or adults, human or
non human.

“Indeed, the (only true) religion according to Allah is Islam _
(submission to His will). Those who formerly received the scriptures sought to
oppress one another, and (out of mutual jealousy) disputed each other. (They
did so), after (true) knowledge had already come to them. Whoever rejects the
signs of Allah, will find that Allah is indeed very swift in calling to
accounts.”
The
main idea of islam was never to make life difficult in the name of worship but
it was the simplest religion even when other prophets preached it and when
Muhammad s.a.w, the last messenger of ALLAH swt was given prophet hood, Islam
was sighted as the easiest among all the existing religions. This is the
quality of Islam that even today, when there is so much of chaos in this world
people get attracted to Islam easily. The biggest history of the world was the
incident of 9/11 which did not only took thousands of lives but also played as
a major factor for the west to study and adopt Islamic belief. The zions
planned something else, they wanted to wage war against ALLAH and Muslims, but
unfortunately, they triggered a war against their own religions and weird
beliefs. ALLAH swt said in Quran: 2:208

“Oh you
who believe! Submit to peace, the religion of Islam, fully (unreservedly) and
unconditionally. Do not follow in the footsteps of Shaitan. Indeed, he is the
(professed and) manifest enemy of yours.”
Islam
is a growing religion because it offers peace. The concept of GOD in islam is
unique and attractive. There is pride being a muslim, there will be justice in
here and hereafter for the deed. There are no multiple gods to follow and there
is no prostration to a human. Muslims are not told to leave life and they are
told to be just and show equality. The muslim females are treated as precious
and delicate humans. There is everything in Islam. The comprehensive and
easiness of Islam has attracted many people towards it. But above all, it is
the truth which is only present in Quran-the book of Islam. Our beloved Prophet
Muhammad s.a.w. prophesied the most population as muslims which is
happening today. What else could be true if not Islam?
